All Star Productions presents Stephen Sondheim's Into The Woods, with a book by James Lapine, directed by Tim McArthur, beginning previews at Ye Olde Rose & Crown Theatre in Walthamstow, north-east London, on 07 Oct 2014, officially opening on 10 Oct and continuing its limited engagement through to 31 Oct 2014.

Synopsis: 'The story follows a Baker and his wife who wish to have a child, Cinderella who wishes to attend the King's Festival, and Jack who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.'

This production of Into The Woods also features musical direction and new orchestrations by Aaron Clingham.

Into The Woods first premiered on Broadway in 1987 at the Martin Beck Theatre, winning three Tony Awards - Best Original Score, Best Book of a Musical and Best Actress in a Musical (for Joanna Gleason). This Christmas, Disney will release a highly anticipated movie adaptation of the Sondheim musical, starring Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp, Emily Blunt and James Corden, and will be directed by Rob Marshall.
