Soul Sister new musical at Hackney Empire 14 April

Simply the Best Productions presents Soul Sister, a new musical concerning Ike and Tina Turner , at the Hackney Empire, in east London from 14 Apr to 5 May 2012.

Devised by Pete Brooks and John Miller, directed by Bob Eaton, designed by Pete Brooks and Laura Hopkins, lighting by Nick Richings , choreography by Jason Pennycooke, musical director is Sean Green.

Cast includes Emi Wokoma (Tina Turner), Chris Tummings (Ike Turner), Sharon Benson, Nadine Higgin, Ngo Ngofa, Joanne Sandi.

The musical follows the highs and lows, the passions and heartbreak of Ike and Tina Turner as their careers blossomed and their marriage crumbled. Features songs including 'What's Love Got to Do with It', 'Proud Mary', 'Private Dancer' and 'River Deep Mountain High'.
