Steptoe and Son in Murder at Oil Drum Lane opens at the Comedy Theatre 22 Feb 2006, following previews 16 Feb 2006 - booking to 22 April 2006

Steptoe and Son in Murder at Oil Drum Lane , which premiered at The York Theatre Royal in Oct 2005, is written by Ray Galton & John Antrobus, it is based on the TV series created and written by Ray Galton & Alan Simpson.

It features Harry Dickman (Albert) , Jake Nightingale (Harold), Alyson Coote (Fiona / Joyce), Juliet Howland (NT Woman / Pamela), Laurence Kennedy (Ribbentop)

It is directed by Roger Smith, designed by Nigel Hook, lighting by Richard G Jones.

This new play is set in the future. Albert is dead, killed in a fit of temper by Harold who escaped to South America to avoid his crime. Years later, Harold returns to the scene of his crime and finds the ghost of his dead father waiting for him. Even from the grave the arguments continue.
