The Bodyguard extends to 30 Aug 2014 at Adelphi Theatre

The Bodyguard has extended its booking period by over 5 months to 30 Aug 2014.

Based on the Warner Bros. film of the same name with screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan, and featuring Whitney Houston's greatest hits, The Bodyguard opened at the Adelphi Theatre 5 Dec 2012, following previews from 6 Nov.

Directed by Thea Sharrock, the musical has book by Alex Dinelaris, designed by Tim Hatley, lighting by Mark Henderson, choreography by Arthur Pita, sound by Richard Brooker. Produced by Michael Harrison and David Ian. The cast includes Beverley Knight (Rachel Marron), who is scheduled to appear in the production until 8 March 2014 and does not appear on the Wednesday and Saturday matinee performances, and Tristan Gemmill (Frank Farmer).

Former Secret Service agent turned bodyguard, Frank Farmer, is hired to protect superstar Rachel Marron from an unknown stalker. Each expects to be in charge; what they don't expect is to fall in love. A romantic thriller, The Bodyguard features a multitude of Whitney Houston's hits including Queen of the Night, So Emotional, One Moment in Time, Saving All My Love, I'm Your Baby Tonight, Run to You, I Have Nothing, How Will I Know, I Wanna Dance With Somebody and I Will Always Love You.
