‘The Phantom of the Opera’ announces full casting ahead of summer reopening at Her Majesty’s Theatre

The full casting for the return of The Phantom of the Opera in London has been named, ahead of performances this summer. The Phantom of the Opera will now reopen at Her Majesty's Theatre from 27 July, with The Phantom of the Opera tickets on sale soon.

Lucy St Louis will play Christine Daaé, previously playing Diana Ross in Motown The Musical at the Shaftesbury Theatre. Rhys Whitfield will play Raoul, with West End credits including Summer and Smoke and Jesus Christ Superstar.

They join the previously announced Killian Donnelly as The Phantom, who has previously starred as Jean Valjean in Les Miserables and Charlie Price in Kinky Boots.

The cast also incldues Saori Oda as Carlotta Giudicelli, Matt Harrop as Monsieur Firmin, Adam Linstead as Monsieur André, Greg Castiglioni as Ubaldo Piangi, Francesca Ellis as Madame Giry and Ellie Young as Meg Giry.

Casting is completed by Holly-Anne Hull as alternate Christine, Leeroy Boone, Corina Clark, Edward Court, Lily De-La-Haye, Hywel Dowsell, Jemal Felix, Erin Flaherty, James Gant, Eilish Harmon-Beglan, Yukina Hasebe, Olivia Holland-Rose, Grace Hume, James Hume, Donald Craig Manuel, Jonathan Milton, Janet Mooney, Tim Morgan, Beatrice Penny-Toure, Michael Robert-Lowe, Nikki Skinner, Tim Southgate, Ashley Stillburn, Manon Taris, Anouk Van Laake, Skye Weiss, Simon Whitaker and Karen Wilkinson.

Speaking about Phantom's reopening, producer Cameron Mackintosh said: "Putting the new version of the original Phantom production back into its perfect home Her Majesty's Theatre, 35 years after its premiere, is an unexpected thrill... This time around Her Majesty's Theatre will take even more of a starring role alongside our brilliant new cast."

The Phantom of the Opera sees a half-masked Phantom grow obsessed with Christine, a young soprano at Paris Opera House. The musical made its West End premiere at Her Majesty's Theatre in 1986, where it's enjoyed a continuous run ever since and is currently the second-longest running musical in London.

The Phantom of the Opera is at Her Majesty's Theatre from 27 July.
