The Seagull by Green Girl Productions at Barons Court

Green Girl Productions presents The Seagull by Anton Chekhov, directed by Mackenzie Thorpe, at the Barons Court Theatre, a 60-seat fringe venue in the cellar below the Curtains Up Pub, in west Kensington, from 2 to 8 Sep 2013.

It is 1989. The Soviet Union is crumbling. Irina Arkadina pays a visit to her brother's rural estate, acclaimed writer Trigorin in tow. Welcomed by a downtrodden doctor, a sidelined son and a host of neglected neighbours, the visitors arrival only serves to twist the knife of failure deeper into the hearts of the frustrated residents.
