'The Time Traveller's Wife' announces full West End cast

The West End premiere of The Time Traveller's Wife, based on Audrey Niffenegger best-selling novel, will begin performances at the Apollo Theatre from 7 October 2023.

Full casting has been confirmed for The Time Traveller's Wife: The Musical which begins performances in the West End this autumn at the Apollo Theatre.

As previously announced, David Hunter (Waitress, Kinky Boots) and Joanna Woodward (Pretty Woman: The Musical), Tim Mahendran (& Juliet), Hiba Elchikhe (Everybody's Talking About Jamie) and Ross Dawes (Newsies, Bonnie & Clyde) will lead the show.

Joining them will be Sorelle Marsh (Mamma Mia!), as Henry’s Mum, Alwyne Taylor (Claus), as the Librarian, Irfan Damani (The SpongeBob Musical) as Clare’s Dad, Alexandra Doar (Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat) as Clare’s Mum, Alex Lodge (The Osmonds) as Jason/Mark and Helena Pipe (Blues For An Alabama Sky) as Dr Kendrick.

Also in the cast are Billie Hardy, Daniel George-Wright, Serina Mathew, Nathaniel Purnell and Bobby Windebank. The role of Young Clare and Alba will be shared by Ava Critchell, Lily Hanna, Poppy Pawson and Holly-Jade Roberts.

Award-winning singer-songwriters Joss Stone and Dave Stewart will write the music and lyrics, with additional music by Nick Finlow and additional lyrics by Kait Kerrigan. Lauren Gunderson will adapt the story for the stage. The creative team also includes designer Anna Fleischle, choreographer Shelley Maxwell, lighting designers Lucy Carter and Rory Beaton, and sound designer Richard Brooker.

Based on Audrey Niffenegger’s 2003 novel, The Time Traveller’s Wife: The Musical follows the extraordinary love between Clare and Henry, whose relationship is tested by his uncontrollable time-traveling ability.
