The Yard Theatre presents Removal Men by M. J. Harding and Jay Miller

New play with songs at the Yard Theatre.

The Yard Theatre in east London have announced that they will present Removal Men, a love story in an Immigration Removal Centre by M. J. Harding, with Jay Miller from 8 November to 10 December 2016, with an official opening on 11 November.

Directed by The Yard's Artistic Director Jay Miller this play with songs features music by M. J. Harding and Jonah Brody with designs by Bethany Wells, lighting and projection by Joshua Pharo, sound by Josh Anio Grigg and movement direction by Project O.

"Mo is 31. He works in an immigration removal centre. He's a Detention Officer. He wears a shirt, a tie, and sometimes even trousers. He's from Bishops Stortford. Mo's in trouble. Mo's in love." Described as an electrifying story of love, violence and power which gets to the heart of 21st Century Britain, revealing a nation brutalised and confused by systems of inequality, incorporating live songs, music and dance.

The cast features Mark Field (Mo), Clare Perkins (Beatrice) and Barnaby Power (George).

Removal Men has an age guidance of 14+ and contains strong language, violence and sexual content.
