Tintin at Playhouse from 6 Dec 2007

The Young Vic's production of Hergé's Adventures of Tintin, which was originally co-produced with BITE:05 - Barbican, will open at the Playhouse Theatre 12 Dec 2007, following previews from 6 Dec - running to 23 Feb 2008.

Based on Herge's (Georges Remi) 'Tintin in Tibet ', it is adapted by Rufus Norris & David Greig, directed by Rufus Norris, designed by Ian MacNeil , lighting by Rick Fisher, choreography by Toby Sedgwick, sound by Paul Arditti, and music by Orlando Gough.

It is produced at the Playhouse Theatre by Sonia Friedman Productions, Mark Rubinstein, Michael Edwards & Carole Winter, Tulchin/Bartner Productions and WTTP in association with Watford Palace Theatre.

The story follows our intrepid reporter's quest to save his good friend Chang, into the snow fields of the Himalayas where the legendary abominable snowman is rumoured to live. Tintin is joined on his journey by a host of iconic characters including the irascible sea dog Captain Haddock
