Oladipo Agboluaje’s new political family drama The Adeyemis – A Family Saga will open in the National's Dorfman Theatre in winter 2027. The show has been announced as part of the venue's 2027 season announcement.

Three-time Emmy Award-winning actor Uzo Aduba (Orange is the New Black) will make her National Theatre debut in the role of Helen, while Lucian Msamati (Amadeus) will make his National Theatre directing debut.

The Adeyemis – A Family Saga follows the fortunes of a wealthy, but troubled clan during a challenging period in Nigeria's history. The play will draw on Oladipo’s 1997 play Iya-Ile – The First Wife, expanding the original story into an epic family drama.

Further artistic team, casting, and performance dates are to be announced.
