VAGINA MONOLOGUES TO CLOSE AT NEW AMBASSADORS

The Vagina Monologues, has posted closing notices at the New Ambassadors Theatre. The last performance will be on 22nd June 02.

The show originally opened at the New Ambassadors Theatre on 10th May 01. It then transferred to the Arts Theatre on 23rd Oct 01 and then transferred back to the New Ambassadors on 26th Feb 02. (It is currently not known if the show will transfer to another theatre!!).

The current cast is Honor Blackman, Sarah Alexander and Josette Bushell-Mingo who are starring in the show to 18th May 02.

The Vagina Monologues is written by Eve Ensler, designed by Bunny Christie with lighting by Chris Davey.

Based on interviews with a diverse group of women - from a Long Island antique dealer to a Bosnian refugee - the play brazenly explores the humour, power, pain, wisdom, outrage, mystery and excitement hidden in vaginas.
