Now in its eight years under the tracks at Waterloo Station, VAULT Festival welcomes some of the most exciting acts in theatre and comedy to showcase their newest work.

The ethos of the festival is to give artists a space where they can run their shows in front of a crowd, and make it an affordable place for them to be staged, with most playing shorter runs, and sharing tech throughout the multi-room venue at the Vaults.

Some of this year's highlights include the award-winning Ukrainian folk opera Counting Sheep, Jon Brittain's A Super Happy Story (About Feeling Super Sad), as well as comedy from the likes of Evelyn Monk, Josh Glanc, Catherine Bohart, Dane Baptiste, James Acaster and Desiree Burch, many of whom will be trialling new material.

We met up with the creative team behind the festival to find out what makes VAULT Fest so unique.
