2025 Tony Awards: Full list of winners
It was a big night for British theatre, with Operation Mincemeat, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Sunset Boulevard, and Stranger Things: The First Shadow taking home top gongs.
On 8 June, the 78th annual Tony Awards took place, with Wicked star Cynthia Erivo hosting the event, which celebrates the best of Broadway theatre.
The Darren Criss-led Maybe Happy Ending scooped six awards, including Best Musical, while Buena Vista Social Club — featuring the music of the Cuban ensemble group — won four. Best Play went to Purpose, Sunset Boulevard won Best Musical Revival, and Eureka Day won Best Play Revival.
It was a strong night for previous Olivier Award-winning shows: Nicole Scherzinger, Sarah Snook, and Jak Malone all took home Best Performance awards for their roles in Sunset Boulevard, The Picture of Dorian Gray, and Operation Mincemeat: A New Musical, while the epic Stranger Things: The First Shadow, continuing to run in the West End, won awards for Best Scenic Design, Lighting Design, and Sound Design.
