A guide to premium tickets in the West End
Celebrate a special occasion with the best seats in the house, and perhaps some VIP treatment to make your theatre trip even more memorable!
When it comes to booking tickets, the “Best seats in the house” are subjective as everyone has their own preferences. Some like being in the heart of the stalls while others prefer a more panoramic view from the front of the dress circle. But with premium seats, you can be sure of unobstructed views, the very best acoustics, and, with many packages, exclusive hospitality is part of the privilege.

What are premium tickets?
Premium tickets are the best seats in the house, usually located in the middle of the stalls or the front of the dress circle. They can also come with perks such as drinks and refreshments, and VIP treatment.
How much do premium West End tickets cost?
As the name suggests, premium tickets cost more than “standard” tickets. Prices vary but potential customers can expect to pay at least £100-£200. In some cases, hospitality is included, or can be added for an additional fee.
Is it better to sit in the stalls or the dress circle?
This is a matter of personal preference and can depend on the show. The stalls are located closest to the stage and the seats towards the middle are usually considered the best in this level. The front of the dress circle (known as the royal circle in some theatres) provides a more panoramic view of the proceedings, which can be ideal for spectacles including musicals, opera, and ballet that make use of the full extent of the stage. However, any premium seat is guaranteed to be an excellent one.
What extras do I get with premium tickets?
The extras that come with your premium seats depends on the package (many shows have multiple options). They can include: programmes/souvenir brochures, drinks and refreshments, and access to private bars and lounges. With Delfont Mackintosh’s VIP packages, customers are greeted on arrival by a designated attendant, escorted to a private suite for pre-show refreshments, and experience further hospitality in the interval.
There are also more affordable options that you can add to the price of your ticket to make your experience a bit more special. For example, Wicked offers the Ambassador Lounge experience for £20, which includes access to the lounge 90 minutes before the show starts and a drink, ice cream, and selection of savoury nibbles.
Should I buy premium tickets?
Premium tickets are undoubtedly expensive, but they can be a lovely way to form lasting memories of an extra-special theatre trip. LondonTheatre.co.uk, however, sells tickets at all price points, providing the flexibility for you to find the best seats for your needs and budget. All theatre trips are special.
