Adam Garcia cast in Wicked
Adam Garcia, has been cast as 'Fiyero' in Wicked which opens at the Apollo Victoria Theatre 27 Sep 2006, following previews from 7 Sept 2006 - booking to 24 Feb 2007.
He joins Idina Menzel, who was announced last week as recreating her Broadway role as 'Elphaba'
Adam Garcia helped develop the role of ‘Fiyero’ in the 2002 workshop of WICKED in New York. His West End credits include 'Tony Manero' in the stage premiere of "Saturday Night Fever" at the London Palladium in 1998; "Birdy" at the Comedy Theatre in 1997; "Where Do We Live" at the Royal Court Upstairs in 2002; "On The Town" at the Coliseum in 2005. His TV credits include: "Doctor Who: The Christmas Invasion", "Agatha Christie’s Marple: The Body in the Library" and "Riot at the Rite". His film appearances include "The First 20 Million Is Always The Hardest"; "Wilde" and "Coyote Ugly".
Based on the novel by Gregory Maguire, WICKED has music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, book by Winnie Holzman, scenic design by Eugene Lee, costumes by Susan Hilferty, lighting by Kenneth Posner, sound by Tony Meola, orchestrations by William David Brohn, musical staging by Wayne Cilento and is directed by Joe Mantello.
