Ahead of Adam Kay's engagement of This Is Going To Hurt at the Apollo Theatre, it's been announced that he'll return to the West End this Christmas. He'll perform a live show based on his second book, Twas The Nightshift Before Christmas, with performances at the Palace Theatre from 21 December - 3 Jan. 2021.

Published in 2019, Adam Kay's diary entries tell of his experiences as a junior doctor working the festive season. He peeks behind the blue curtain to reveal what life is like for the 1.4 million NHS staff up and down the country.

Twas The Nightshift Before Christmas will combine highlights from the 2019 book, along with Kay's stand up comedy and brand new content.

The production will mark Kay's second West End engagement in the latter half of 2020. Audiences can see Kay's This Is Going To Hurt at the Apollo Theatre, with performances from 22 October - 8 November.

The upcoming production is part of Nimax Theatres' initiative to reopen all six of their West End theatres. This includes The Showstoppers and Potted Panto at the Garrick Theatre, Six at the Lyric Theatre and The Play That Goes Wrong at the Duchess Theatre.

Twas The Nightshift Before Christmas is at the Palace Theatre from 21 December - 3 Jan. 2021.

Twas The Nightshift Before Christmas tickets are on sale now.
