Anne-Marie Duff to star in 'Some Woman' at the National Theatre

The new play is the first by Helen Edmundson (Small Island) since Queen Anne in 2015.

BAFTA Award winner Anne-Marie Duff will star in the world premiere of Some Woman, which begins performances in the Dorfman theatre at the National on 7 October running through 21 November.

The new play is the first by Helen Edmundson (Small Island) since Queen Anne in 2015. Blanche McIntyre (Tartuffe) returns to the London venue as director.

Duff will play central character Julie Robson in Edmundson's play about an overlooked and ordinary woman who takes a stand after an encounter on a station platform.

The rest of the creative team includes set and costume designer Robert Jones.

Further casting is to be announced.
