‘Baghdaddy’ announces full cast
The world premiere play will open at the Royal Court.
Baghdaddy playwright Jasmine Naziha Jones will star in her debut play later this year. Baghdaddy begins previews at the Royal Court on 18 November, with an opening night on 24 November, and performances to 17 December. Book Baghdaddy tickets on London Theatre.
Set during the Gulf War in 1991, an eight-year-old in the United Kingdom learns that she is Iraqi. Baghaddy explores generational trauma and identity at a time of global conflict.
Baghdaddy marks Jasmine Naziha Jones’s debut play, developed as part of an Introduction to Playwriting group at the Royal Court.
Milli Bhatia directs Philip Arditti, Souad Faress, Jasmine Naziha Jones, Hayat Kamille and Noof Ousellam in Baghdaddy. The show features design by Moi Tran, lighting design by Jessica Hung Han Yun, and sound design by Elena Peña.
