Carley Stenson - Elle Woods in Legally Blonde from 11 July

Carley Stenson takes over the role of Elle Woods, in Legally Blonde The Musical, from 11 July 2011. (Carley is currently playing Margot in the production.)

Carley Stenson made her West End stage debut as Margot in Legally Blonde The Musical, in October 2010. She is best known on television as Steph Cunningham in C4's Hollyoaks, a role she has played for over ten years. She won ITV's Celebrity Stars in Their Eyes when she performed as Faith Hill.

As previously mentioned, Lee Mead takes over the role of Emmett, from 20 June 2011.

The show continues to include Natalie Casey (Paulette), Peter Davison (Professor Callahan), Nicola Brazil (Serena) and Siobhan Dillon (Vivienne).

Legally Blonde The Musical, which won Best New Musical at the Olivier Awards, opened at the Savoy Theatre 13 Jan 2010, following previews from 5 Dec 2009, to positive notices from the popular press, and is currently taking bookings to 31 March 2012.

It has music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin, book by Heather Hach. Orchestrations by Christopher Jahnke.

It is directed & choreographed by Jerry Mitchell, designed by David Rockwell, costumes by Gregg Barnes, lighting by Kenneth Posner and Paul Miller, sound by ACME Sound Partners. Produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, Robert G Bartner, Ambassador Theatre Group and Jamie Hendry Productions.
