Cast announced for Doctor Scroggy's War at The Globe

Full casting has now been announced for Doctor Scroggy's War, written by Howard Brenton and directed by John Dove, which will play various dates between 12 Sep and 10 Oct 2014 at Shakespeare's Globe.

The full cast will include Will Featherstone (Jack Twigg), James Garnon (Harold Gillies/Doctor Scroggy), with Catherine Bailey, Sam Cox, Patrick Driver, Daisy Hughes, Joe Jameson, Tom Kanji, Christopher Logan, William Mannering, Holly Morgan, Rhiannon Oliver, Keith Ramsay, Paul Rider, Katy Stephens and Dickon Tyrrell.

Doctor Scroggy's War features scenic design by Michael Taylor and music by William Lyons.

Synopsis: 'First World War, Jack Twigg, 19 years old, enlists in the London Regiment and goes on a journey he never imagined - nor did the rest of the world. On his way, he meets the pioneering medic Harold Gillies, who saves his life and his sanity. But who is the mysterious 'Doctor Scroggy' who appears at night in Gillies's hospital dispensing champagne to the patients?'.
