Casting announced "World Music" & "The Dark"at Donmar Warehouse

Casting has been announced for two Donmar Warehouse productions

World Music, by Steve Waters, opens 16 Feb 04, following previews from 12 Feb, and booking to 13 Mar 04. It is directed Josie Rourke, designed by Christopher Oram, lighting by Neil Austin. Cast includes: Kevin R McNally, Ray Fearon, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Sebastian Harcombe, Sara Powell, Paul Ready, Assly Zandry . The troubled and bloody relationship between Africa and Europe spills into the personal lives and loves of two generations. World Music draws from the tragic history of central Africa to show how the deeds of the past contaminate our hopes for the future. The events of the play, whilst fictional, are closely related to the tragic histories of Rwanda and Burundi.

The Dark, by Charlotte Jones, opens 23 Mar 04, following previews from 18 Mar, and booking to 24 Apr 04. It is directed Anna Mackmin, designed by Lez Brotherston. Cast includes: Sian Phillips,Anastasia Hille, Brid Brennan, Stuart McQuarrie.
John lives with his elderly Mother and is helping the police with their enquiries. Brian and Janet's teenage son only talks to strangers. Barnaby and Louisa have a new baby whom they cannot name. Three households live side by side in isolation. Then the lights go out...
