Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Booking Extension to Sept 2014

Producers of Sam Mendes' Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - The Musical at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane have announced that the show has extended its booking period to 31 October 2015.

The production has recently sold its one millienth ticket, in the month that also celebrates the 50th anniversary of Roald Dahl's original book, on which the musical is based.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - The Musical officially opened at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane on 25 June 2013, following previews from 22 May 2013. The musical received mainly positive reviews , with critics praising the adaptation by David Grieg, as well as the scenic design and special effects: "Delivers visual ravishment and a warm glow" (Financial Times), "it's a tremendously inventive show" (Evening Standard).

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - The Musical has book by David Greig and new songs from Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman. Designs & costumes by Mark Thompson, choreography by Peter Darling, lighting by Paul Pyant, sound by Paul Arditti.

It is produced by Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures, Neal Street Productions and Kevin McCormick. Besterman (orchestrations); Nicholas Skilbeck (Music Director), Jon Driscoll (Video and Projection Designer).
