Contact has posted early closing notices at the Queens Theatre after a run of 7 months. The last performance will be Sat 10 May 2003. (The show was booking to 31 May 03)

Susan Stroman's Broadway dance-musical opened in the West End in October 2002 to superb notices from the popular press: THE INDEPENDENT says, "Whatever Contact is, it's an entertaining show." THE DAILY TELEGRAPH says, "This is a show of wonderful originality, equally rich in choreographic invention and warm humanity." THE EVENING STANDARD says, "Swinging sensation." THE SUNDAY TIMES says, "It is a tough, magical, elegant show, funny and intelligent, ironical, generous and irresistibly playful."THE STAGE says, "Thrilling stuff."

Featuring Leigh Zimmerman & Michael Praed, the show is in fact three short dance pieces:

Swinging A Forest glade , 1767; A Servant, an Aristocrat, a Girl on a Swing.

Did You Move?An Italian restaurant, Queens, 1954; A Wife, a Husband, a Headwaiter.

Contact An Advertising Executive, a Bartender, a Girl in a Yellow Dress.

All of the musical accompaniment is recordings of tunes, from classical to pop to swing.
