Dates announced for West End revival of Mary Poppins

The dates for Mary Poppins at the Prince Edward Theatre have been announced, as well as when tickets will go on sale.

Mary Poppins will begin previews on 23rd October 2019, before an official opening night on 13th November 2019. Tickets will be available for performances running to 29th March 2020.

Tickets for Mary Poppins will go on sale at 10am on 28th January 2019.

Mary Poppins premiered in the West End at the Prince Edward Theatre on 15th December 2004 running for over three years and closing on 12th January 2008. Mary Poppins will open at the Prince Edward Theatre, taking over from Aladdin which is set to play its final performance on 31st August 2019.

The musical tells the story of Mary Poppins, a nanny with magical powers who looks after Jane and Michael Banks. The musical includes the songs "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" and "A Spoonful of Sugar".

Zizi Strallen will play the title role in the production, recently playing Fran in Strictly Ballroom at the Piccadilly Theatre. She is joined by Charlie Stemp as Bert, who recently starred in Snow White at the London Palladium.

Further casting in Mary Poppins is yet to be announced.
