David Suchet cast in Complicit at Old Vic

David Suchet & Elizabeth McGovern join prevously mentioned Richard Dreyfuss in Complicit, written by Joe Sutton and directed by Kevin Spacey, it opens at the Old Vic Theatre, 19 Jan 2009, following previews from 7 Jan 2009 - running to 21 Feb 2009.

David Suchet's London stage credits include "The Last Confession" at the Haymarket in 2007; "Once in a Lifetime" at the Olivier, NT in 2005; "Man and Boy" at the Duchess in 2005;"Amadeus" at the Old Vic in 1998;"Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" at the Aldwych in 1997; "What a Performance" at the Queens in 1994. But he is most famous for his TV role as Agatha Christie's 'Poirot'.

Elizabeth McGovern has worked extensively in theatre, film and television. Her early film credits include "Ordinary People", "Ragtime", "Lovesick", "Once Upon a Time In America". Elizabeth's more recent film credits include "The Favor" & "Buffalo Soldiers". On TV, Elizabeth appeared in the ITV remake of "A Room With A View" and BBC comedy "Freezing". Her London stage credits include "Hurlyburly" at the Old Vic in 1997; "Three Days of Rain" at the Donmar Warehouse in 1999; "Dinner With Friends" at the Hampstead in 2001.

Complicit is an American play that explores our current political climate. Pulitzer prize-winning journalist Ben Kritzer is hauled before the Supreme Court where he faces the dilemma of defending his belief in the freedom of the press or protecting his family.
