Dear Evan Hansen extends West End booking period
The hit Broadway musical begins previews in London tonight
Dear Evan Hansen has extended its West End booking period as previews at the Noel Coward Theatre get underway.
The musical, written by Tony Award winners Pasek and Paul, tells the story of a high school boy who takes his chance when an opportunity arises for him to fit in with his peers. It features songs such as "Anybody Have a Map?", "Sincerely, Me", Waving Through a Window", and "You Will Be Found".
Opening at the Noel Coward Theatre on 19th November, Dear Evan Hansen is now booking in the West End until 2nd May 2020.
Casting for the musical was announced last month, with Sam Tutty taking on the lead role of Evan Hansen. He will be joined by Lucy Anderson as Zoe Murphy, Doug Colling as Connor Murphy and Rebecca McKinnis as Heidi Hansen.
Since opening on Broadway on 4th December 2016, Dear Evan Hansen won six Tony Awards in 2017 including best musical, best book of a musical, best original score and best orchestrations.
Previews of the West End production begin at the Noel Coward Theatre tonight.
Dear Evan Hansen is booking at the Noel Coward Theatre until 2nd May 2020.
