The Harold Pinter Theatre will open with a collection of new plays from Sonia Friedman Productions. As part of the RE:EMERGE season, Joseph Charlton's Anna X will make its West End premiere from 10 July - 4 August., starring the award-winning actress Emma Corrin, who will make her professional acting debut.

Speaking about the season, which includes Anna X, Sonia Friedman said: "After what has been such a devastating year for so many it fills me with the greatest joy and hope to announce RE:EMERGE, an SFP Season of bold, new work for a bold, new world as we begin to build back to the full reopening of British theatre. Joseph Charlton's Anna X delves deep into the corruption of truth and reality through the all-consuming lies we tell the world about ourselves over social media."

First seen at Vault Festival in 2019, Anna X sees Anna and Ariel, two influential people who often find themselves at the hottest events and parties. But, deep down, the pair struggle to keep up with New York's social elite. How far will Anna and Ariel go to construct the perfect identity?

Emma Corrin will make her West End debut as Anna. She's best known for her Golden Globe-winning turn as Lady Diana Spencer in Netflix's The Crown. Nabhaan Rizwan plays Ariel, previously in Little Revolution at Almeida Theatre and Undergrowth at the Royal Court.

Anna X is written by Joseph Charlton, with direction by Daniel Raggett, scenic design by Mikaela Liakata and Tal Yarden, lighting design by Jessica Hung Han Yun, sound design by Mike Winship and costume design by Natalie Pryce.

Other shows in the RE:EMERGE season include Walden starring Gemma Arterton and J'Ouvert, seen at Theatre503 in 2019.
