Full casting announced for Harold and Maude at the Charing Cross Theatre

The full cast joining Sheila Hancock has been announced for the London premiere of Harold and Maude, the stage adaptation of the 1971 film by Colin Higgins.

Harold and Maude is romantic tale about an unlikely couple, a compulsive younger man and a care-free septuagenarian. As previously announced, Olivier Award-winner Sheila Hancock will play the latter, Maude.

Bill Milner will play Harold, the younger man. Milner has previously appeared in the films Dunkirk and X-Men: First Class. His theatre credits include The Distance at the Orange Tree Theatre, and Jeremy Herrin's production of Another Country at Chichester Festival Theatre, transferring to Trafalgar Studios.

The cast also includes: Anthony Cable (The Woman in WhiteCharing Cross Theatre), Rebecca Caine (Flowers For Mrs Harris, Crucible Sheffield), Christopher Dickins (Ragtime, Charing Cross Theatre), Joanna Hickman (Ragtime, Charing Cross Theatre), Samuel Townsend (84 Charing Cross Road, Cambridge Arts Theatre), Anne White (Love in the Past Participle, The Other Palace), Johnson Willis (Dido Queen of Carthage, RSC).

Charing Cross Theatre's artistic director Thom Southerland directs the production, with designs by Francis O'Connor, costumes by Jonathan Lipman, lighting by Matt Clutterham, sound designs from Andrew Johnson and compositions by Stephen Crockett.

Harold and Maude is at the Charing Cross Theatre from 19th February to 31st March.
