Grumpy Old Women Live 2 at Novello from 14 April 2010

Following last year's National tour, Grumpy Old Women Live 2 - Chin Up Britain, comes to the West End starring Jenny Eclair, Susie Blake, Wendi Peters, at the Novello Theatre from 14 April 2010, booking to 5 June 2010.

It is written by Jenny Eclair & Judith Holder, directed by Owen Lewis, designs & costumes by Susannah Henry, lighting by Matt Veitch , sound by Nick Manning. Produced by Avalon Productions / Libery Bell.

Inspired by the BBC TWO series and Grumpy Old Women Official Handbook, Grumpy Old Women Live is an orgy of middle aged mayhem. Includes a belly full of new grumps and handy hints on getting through these hard times the grumpy way, including: Grumping through the ages; our Grumpometer tests your Grumpy levels; menu masochism and other female syndromes; why the recession is good for our kids; celebrity culling; why women can't help being mad; and the Grumpy Guide to Safe Grumpy Rumpy Pumpy!

Comediene Jenny Eclair's London stage credits include "Grumpy Old Women Live" at the Lyric in 2006; "Mum's The Word" at the Albery Theatre in 2003; "The Vagina Monologues" in 2001, 2002 & 2005; "Steaming" at the Piccadilly Theatre in 1997.

Susie Blake is well known for her role as Beverley Unwin in ITV's soap "Coronation Street". Her London stage work includes Madame Morrible in "wicked" and Belinda Blair in Michael Frayn's "Noises Off" at the National Theatre & Piccadilly Theatre.

Wendi Peters is best known for her role as Cilla Battersby Brown in ITV's soap "Coronation Street" and 'Podger' Pam Jolly in TV's "Bad Girls".

Grumpy Old Women Live was last in the West End in 2006 at the Lyric Theatre, which also starred Jenny Eclair.
