The smash-hit West End production of Hamilton has extended its booking period at the Victoria Palace Theatre into 2019.

Lin-Manuel Miranda's hip-hop musical about Alexander Hamilton, one of the founding fathers of the United States, opened in December 2017 to a long list of five star reviews, including one from LondonTheatre.co.uk critic Mark Shenton who said the show was "even more thrilling than I could hope for".

Producers Jeffery Seller and Cameron Mackintosh have today announced that tickets for performances through to 30th March 2019 will go on sale on 4th June (Monday) at noon.

Hamilton currently stars Jameal Westman in the titular role, which creator Miranda recently reprised in a Puerto Rican run of the musical, while Giles Terera and Michael Jibson won acting award at this year's Oliviers for their roles as Aaron Burr and King George respectively.

The cast of Hamilton in the West End also currently includes Rachelle Ann Go, Rachel John, Jason Pennycooke, Obioma Ugoala, Cleve September and Christine Allado.
