Into the Woods postponed at Albert Hall

The Children’s Society’s 125 Anniversary staged concert performances of Stephen Sondheim’s and James Lapine’s musical, Into the Woods , at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 22 Oct 2006 is to be postponed until early 2007.

Paul Savident, producer of the performances for The Children’s Society, said “We had been anticipating a number of artistes to be available for the rehearsal period on 22 October and now professional commitments have made these artistes presence unlikely. As we are determined to present Into The Woods as a truly special event for The Children’s Society we have decided to postpone the performances until early next year. A new date for the event will be confirmed shortly.”

The concert was to have featured Anita Dobson, Vinnie Jones, Laura Michelle Kelly (Cinderella) and Joanna Riding (Red Riding Hood)
