The full casting for The Two Character Play at the Hampstead Theatre has been announced. Kate O'Flynn and Zubin Varla will star in the Tennessee Williams play, running at the Hampstead Theatre from 17 July - 28 August.

Kate O'Flynn will play Clare, who has previously been nominated for an Olivier Award as Laura in The Glass Menagerie, also by Tennessee Williams. Zubin Varla will play Felice, previously in Fun Home, Ghost Quartet and Equus.

Sam Yates will direct The Two Character Play, returning to the Hampstead Theatre after directing The Phlebotomist. The creative team includes scenic design by Rosanna Vize, lighting design by Lee Curran and sound design by Dan Balfour.

The Two Character Play is a semi-autobiographical piece, following a pair of siblings as they feel abandoned by their acting company, adapting the only appropriate work they can stage. The Two Character Play premiered at Hampstead Theatre in 1967, directed by James Roose-Evans.

Upcoming productions at the Hampstead Theatre include Raya and Big Big Sky. Find out more about the new season at Hampstead Theatre here
