Kevin Spacey announces new Old Vic productions

Kevin Spacey has announced that directors Edward Hall, Matthew Warchus & Anthony Page have become associate directors of The Old Vic Theatre Company .

Spacey said they will provide creative counsel and contribute to its artistic development.

He also confirmed productions for the 2006/7 season, which includes:

A Moon for the Misbegotten, by Eugene O'Neill, directed by Howard Davies, starring Kevin Spacey (15 Sep to 23 Dec 2006).

The Taming of the Shrew and Twelfth Night with Edward Hall directing his all-male company Propeller ( In repertoire: 5 Jan to 17 Feb 2007)

The Entertainer by John Osborne, starring Robert Lindsay & Pam Ferris , directed by Sean Holmes (Around the end of February 2007)

In forthcoming seasons, Stephen Fry will write a new version of the pantomime Cinderella (Christmas 2007) and Matthew Warchus will direct Alan Ayckbourn’s trilogy The Norman Conquests.

Kevin Spacey and Trevor Nunn will work together again, following their successful collaboration on Richard II, as part of his fourth season as artistic director of the venue, and there are expected to be new plays by Frank McGuinness and Malcolm McKay.
