There are major cast changes in Les Miserables, at the Palace theatre from 26th Nov 01.
Sarah Lane will star as 'Cosette', Caroline Sheen as 'Eponine', and Stephen Tate as Thenardier'
The show will continue to feature Hans Peter Janssens as 'Jean Valjean', Michael McCarthy as 'Javert', a Mandy Holliday as 'Madame Thenardier' and Grania Renihan as 'Fantine' . However, from Monday 10th Dec 01, Carmen Cusack will join the cast to play 'Fantine'.
Sarah Lane graduated from the Guildhall School of Acting this year and was a finalist in the BBC Radio 2 Voice of Musical Theatre 2000 Competition.
Caroline Sheen most recently appeared in the West End as 'Jennifer Gabriel' in "The Witches of Eastwick" and her other West End work includes appearing in the original cast of "Mamma Mia!", 'Florinda' in the Donmar Warehouse production of "Into the Woods" and 'Marty' in "Grease".
Stephen Tate starred as 'Clyde Gabriel' in "The Witches of Eastwick"; he played 'Judas' in the original production of "Jesus Christ Superstar", 'Zach' in the original British cast of "A Chorus Line" and 'Prospero' in "Return to the Forbidden Planet".
Carmen Cusack most recently played 'Rose' in the Royal Shakespeare Company production of "The Secret Garden"; she played 'Christine' in "The Phantom of the Opera" in Manchester and Edinburgh and 'Fantine' in the national tour of "Les Miserables".

There have been 31 cast recordings of "Les Miserables", including the multi-platinum London cast recording and the Grammy Award-winning Broadway cast and complete symphonic albums. The video of the 10th Anniversary Royal Albert Hall Gala Concert has sold well over one million copies worldwide, making it one of the best-selling musical videos in the UK.
"LES MISERABLES" is currently playing in New York (where it won 8 Tony Awards), Budapest (Hungary), Sao Paulo (Brazil), Tallinn (Estonia) and is on tour in America. Three new European productions and a production in Shanghai (China) will open in 2002.
