"Little Shop of Horrors" at Menier Chocolate Factory from 17 Nov 2006

Little Shop of Horrors, will open at the fringe venue, Menier Chocolate Factory, 29 Nov 2006, following previews from 17 Nov - running to 25 Feb 2007.

The cast includes: Sheridan Smith (Audrey), Paul Keating (Seymour), Barry James (Mushnik), Jasper Britton (the Dentist), Matthew Eames, Katie Kerr, Jenny Fitzpatrick Corrie Mack , Melitsa Nicola. and Mike McShane as the voice of the plant.

Sheridan Smith's London stage credits include: "Taming of the Shrew" and "Midsummer Night's Dream" at the Open Air in 2006; "People Are Friendly" at the Royal Court Downstairs in 2002; "Into the Woods" at the Donmar Warehouse in 1998; "Bugsy Malone" at the Queens Theatre in 1997. Her TV credits include "The Royle Family" and "Two Pints of Lager (And a Packet of Crisps)"

Paul Keating's London stage credits include "Don Carlos" at the Gielgud in 2005; "Full Monty" at the Prince of Wales in 2002; "Closer To Heaven" at the Arts Theatre in 2001; "La Cava" at the Victoria Palace and Piccadilly Theatres in 2000; the title role in "Tommy" at the Shaftesbury Theatre in 1996. His TV credits include "Metrosexuality" .

Little Shop of Horrors has music by Alan Menken, book and lyrics by Howard Ashman.

It is directed by Matthew White, designed by David Farley, lighting by Paul, choreography by Lynne Page.

Down and out Skid Row floral assistant Seymour becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving for fresh blood. Soon 'Audrey II' grows into an ill-tempered, foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore offering him fame and fortune in exchange for feeding its growing appetite... but as Audrey II's hungry demands increase, all that Seymour holds dear is threatened as the plant's sinister agenda for global domination is revealed....
