Love Story posts early closing notices for 26 Feb 2011

The Chichester Festival Theatre musical production of Love Story, has posted early closing notices at the Duchess Theatre, for the 26 Feb 2011. (It was taking bookings to 30 April!).

Producer Adam Spiegel said: "We are very proud to have brought Love Story to the West End and are looking forward to announcing a UK tour shortly as well as a number of further productions to be staged worldwide."

Love Story opened at the Duchess Theatre on 6 Dec 2010, following previews from 27 Nov, to moderate notices: "A polished show" (Evening Standard); "The characters remain only mildly engaging" (The Stage); "This version of 'Love Story' is certainly better than the film" (Londontheatre.co.uk) Inspired by Erich Segal's novel, it has music by Howard Goodall, book by Stephen Clark and lyrics by Stephen Clark and Howard Goodall.

Directed by Rachel Kavanaugh, the cast includes Emma Williams as Jenny, and Michael Xavier as Oliver Barratt IV

Produced in the West End by Michael Ball, Adam Spiegel and Stephen Waley-Cohen.

Oliver Barrett IV went to Harvard and Jenny Cavilleri to Radcliffe. He was rich, she was poor. He was sporty, she played music. But they fell in love. This is their story.
