Mamma Mia! cast changes from 3 March 2008

There are cast changes in Mamma Mia!, at the Prince of Wales Theatre from 3 March 2008.

New cast members will include Richard Laing (Sam Carmichael), Paul Ryan (Harry Bright), Andrew Hall (Bill Austin), Katie Brayben (Sophie Sheridan), Oliver Hembrough (Sky), Jodie Read (Ali), Laura Selwood (Lisa), Giovanni Spano (Pepper), Matt Wilman (Eddie). At certain performances the role of 'Donna Sheridan' will be played by Melissa Jacques.

Linzi Hateley (Donna Sheridan), Joanna Monro (Rosie) and Jane Gurnett (Tanya), continue in their roles.

MAMMA MIA! has already been seen by more than 30 million people in over 170 cities across North America, Australia, Europe and Asia. It has already grossed over $2 billion at the box office worldwide. The original London production opened in 1999 and has grossed over £155 million at the UK Box Office. By the beginning of March this year, the London production will have been seen by 5 million people.

Based on the songs of ABBA, Mamma Mia! opened in London at the Prince Edward Theatre on 6th April 1999, following previews from 23rd March 1999. It transferred to the Prince of Wales theatre on 3 June 2004, where it is currently booking to 25 April 2009

The show has music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus.

This original musical, which is a story of a mother and daughter set on the eve of the daughter's wedding, has a book by Catherine Johnson.

It is designed by Mark Thompson, with lighting design by Howard Harrison, sound design by Andrew Bruce & Bobby Aitken and musical supervision, additional material and arrangements by Martin Koch.

It is choreographed by Anthony Van Laast and directed by Phyllida Lloyd.
