The Menier Chocolate Factory production of Maria Friedman Re-arranged, will open at the Trafalgar Studios One 4 Dec 2008, following previews from 27 Nov 2008 - for 25 performances to 4 Jan 2009.

Maria Friedman, accompanied by an 11-piece band playing among them over 50 instruments, will feature a mix of the original Menier Chocolate Factory programme with some new additions. The running time of this show will be 90 minutes with no interval.

Some of the most renowned orchestrators and arrangers in the world have re-arranged versions of Maria's firm favourites and contemporary songs, including the work of Irving Berlin, Leonard Bernstein, Jerry Herman, Michel Legrand, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Randy Newman, Stephen Sondheim, Charles Strouse and Suzanne Vega. Orchestrators and arrangers include Jason Carr, David Cullen, Michael Starobin, Jeremy Sams, Jonathan Tunick and Chris Walker.

Maria Friedman's West End stage credits include "Woman in White" at the Palace in 2004; "Ragtime" at the Piccadilly in 2003; "Maria Friedman By Special Arrangement" at the New Ambassadors in 2002; "The Witches of Eastwick" at Drury Lane in 2000; "Chicago" at the Adelphi in 1998; "Lady in the Dark" at the Lyttelton, NT in 1997; "Passion" at the Queen's in 1996; "Maria Friedman By Extra Special Arrangement" at the Whitehall in 1995; "The Break of Day" at the Royal Court Downstairs in 1995.
