Mark Bazeley and Kristin Davis join Fatal Attraction cast

Mark Bazeley and Kristin Davis will join the cast of Fatal Attraction, directed by Trevor Nunn, adapted for the stage by original screen writer James Dearden, opening at the Haymarket Theatre 25 March 2014, following previews from 11 Mar (previously 8 Mar) - booking to 21 June 2014.

Mark Bazeley is to play Dan Gallagher and Kristin Davis is to play Beth Gallagher. They join previously announced Natascha McElhone (Alex Forrest).

Mark Bazeley was previously on the London stage last year in Scenes from a Marriage at the St James' Theatre, directed by Trevor Nunn. Other London stage credits include The Seagull for the National Theatre, Death of a Salesman at the Lyric Theatre, Macbeth at the Albery Theatre, Homebody/Kabul for the Young Vic and The Real Thing for the Donmar Warehouse. Bazeley has also appeared in many television programmes, such as Death in Paradise, Hustle, Spooks and Prime Suspect.

Fatal Attraction marks Kristin Davis's West End stage debut. She is best known for her role as Charlotte in the HBO television and film series Sex and the City. Davis has also appeared on televison in Melrose Place, Bad Teacher, Will & Grace, Friends, Seinfeld, The Larry Sanders Show and ER. She made her British stage debut in 2006 at Hammersmith's Riverside Studio in The Exoneratedin, following an off-Broadway run.

Fatal Attraction is a story of obsession and revenge and explores how a chance meeting in a bar and a casual encounter quickly becomes a living nightmare for Dan Gallagher, a successful New York lawyer, and his young family. After spending one weekend with the gorgeous Alex Forrest, he assumes he can just walk away, but Alex is a woman who refuses to be ignored. She pursues Dan and his family with terrifying consequences.

The drama is produced by Theatre Royal Haymarket Productions, Robert Fox and Patrick Ryecart.
