Merrily We Roll Along confirms transfer to West End

It is now confirmed that Merrily We Roll Along , will transfer from the 180 seat Menier Chocolate Factory, an Off West End venue near London Bridge, south London, to the West End's Harold Pinter Theatre, opening 1 May 2013, following previews from 23 April - running to 27 July 2013.

Directed by actress Maria Friedman, who is making her directorial debut, the show opened at the Menier Chocolate Factory 28 Nov 2012, following previews from 16 Nov 2012, and is playing until 9 March 2013.

The cast includes Mark Umbers (Franklin Shepard), Damian Humbley (Charley Kringas), Jenna Russell (Mary Flynn), Josefina Gabrielle (Gussie Carnegie), Clare Foster (Beth Spencer), Glyn Kerslake (Joe Josephson), Zizi Strallen, Matthew Barrow, Martin Callaghan, Amanda Minihan, Amy Ellen Richardson, Robbie Scotcher, Kirk Patterson, Ashley Robinson, Joanna Woodward.

Music by Stephen Sondheim, book by George Furth based on the play by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart.

Designed by Soutra Gilmour, choreography by Tim Jackson, lighting by David Hersey, sound by Gareth Owen.

Charts the relationship between three friends, Franklin, Charley and Mary over three decades in the entertainment business. Includes songs including 'Good Thing Going', 'Not a Day Goes By' and 'Old Friends'
