Michelle Collins to star in My Dad’s Gap Year at Park Theatre

The full cast has been announced for My Dad's Gap Year opening at the Park Theatre, with Michelle Collins to star in the production.

My Dad's Gap Year tells the story of Dave, a father who takes his gay, teenage son William to Thailand in order to lose his virginity. Once in Thailand, Dave meets Thai waitress Mae who dreams of owning a bar while William meets Matias. The father and son find themselves involved in their own holiday romances, while William's mother Cath embarks on her own journey of self-discovery to find herself once more.

Michelle Collins will play Cath in My Dad's Gap Year. As well as appearing in Eastenders and Coronation Street, Collins has had an extensive theatre career including Calendar Girls at the Phoenix Theatre, Daddy Cool at the Shaftesbury Theatre and touring productions of Thoroughly Modern Millie and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

The cast is completed by Adam Lannon (Dave), Alex Britt (William), Max Percy (Matias) alongside Victoria Gigante previously announced as Mae.

My Dad's Gap Year is written by Tom Wright and directed by Rikki Beadle-Blair. The production was first workshopped at the Tristan Bates Theatre, before being showcased at the Bush Theatre

My Dad's Gap Year will play at Park Theatre for a limited engagement from 30th January 2019 to 23rd February 2019.
