Musical Con to celebrate West End theatre in new weekend event

The musical theatre fan convention will take place in October.

A weekend-long convention focused on West End musicals will take place in London later this year. Named Musical Con, the musical theatre event will see thousands of musical fans and West End talent unite to celebrate the art of live theatre. Musical Con is at ExCel London from 22 to 23 October.

During Musical Con, audiences will be able to watch performances, as well as take part in Q&As, panels and show spotlights. There’ll also be meet and greet opportunities, a theatre marketplace to buy memorabilla, a theatre cafe, and a selection of singing, dance and acting workshops. The Musical Con schedule will be revealed closer to the event.

Musical Con ambassadors include Aimie Atkinson, Kerry Ellis, Alice Fearn, Ben Forster, Jodie Steele, Trevor Dion Nicholas, Omari Douglas, Shanay Holmes, Jenna Russell and Layton Williams.

Confirmed guests include musical theatre supergroup SVN: Jarneia Richard-Noel, Millie O'Connell, Natalie May Paris, Alexia McIntosh, Maiya Quansah-Breed, Grace Mouat. Six's Toby Marlow, Heathers choreographer Gary Lloyd, and Rent choreographer Tom Jackson Greaves will also be at the event.
