My Brilliant Divorce extends one week at Apollo to 17 May 03
My Brilliant Divorce, by Geraldine Aron, starring Dawn French has been extended one week at the Apollo Theatre to 17 May 03.
The show received reasonable notices from the popular press when it opened in February: BENEDICT NIGHTINGALE for THE TIMES says, "There are plenty of amusing moments." In this new play, Dawn French stars as Angela, who is unexpectedly dumped by her husband for a much younger woman. Angela had never expected to be divorced and we join her on a poignant and hilarious journey of dealing with life being back on the shelf. Along the way we meet an array of extraordinary characters, all played by Dawn French.
The 'French' half of the comedy duo 'French and Saunders', Dawn is one of Britain's best-loved actresses and comedienne's. Her West End credits include "When We Are Married" at the Savoy in 1996 and as 'Bottom' in a feminist staging of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" at the Albery in 2001. Her TV credits include "The Vicar of Dibley" amd "Murder Most Horrid".
