New cast announced for 'Guys and Dolls' at the Bridge Theatre

Owain Arthur and Timmika Ramsay will take over from Daniel Mays and Marisha Wallace in Nicholas Hytner’s production of Guys and Dolls after 24 February.

Listen up, guys and dolls! Owain Arthur and Timmika Ramsay will star as the new Nathan Detroit and Miss Adelaide as part of casting changes for Nicholas Hytner’s immersive production of Guys and Dolls at the Bridge Theatre. The production started performances in March 2023.

Daniel Mays and Marisha Wallace, who are currently playing Detroit and Miss Adelaide, will remain in their roles until 24 February.

George Ioannides (An Officer and a Gentleman, Annie, Mamma Mia!) will continue his lead role as Sky Masterson, and Celinde Schoenmaker (Howard Goodall's Love Story, Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera) will continue playing Sarah Brown.

Also joining the cast are Jonathan Andrew Hume (Come from Away) as Nicely-Nicely Johnson, Ryan Pidgen (Matilda, Man of La Mancha, The Wind in the WiIlows) as Benny Southstreet, Tori Scott (The Cher Show, Cotton Candy and Cocaine) as General Cartwright, Niall Buggy (To Kill a Mockingbird, Juno and The Paycock, Rough Crossing) as Arvide Abernathy, TJ Lloyd as Rusty Charlie, and Dashaun Vegas as Harry the Horse.

Continuing in the cast are Iroy Abesamis (Swing), Cornelius Clarke (Lieutenant Brannigan), Cameron Johnson (Big Jule), Saffi Needham (Ensemble), James Revell (Swing), Charlotte Scott (Swing, Co-Dance Captain), and Dale White (Swing, Dance Captain, Fight Captain).

Additional ensemble cast members include Katie Bradley, Tanisha-Mae Brown, Filippo Coffano, Eamonn Cox, Kamilla Fernandes, Alex Given, Lucie Horsfall, Hollie Jane Stephens, Dominic Lamb, Siân Nathaniel-James, Sophie Pourret, Nathan Rigg, Pierce Rogan, and Samuel Routley.

Hytner’s immersive production of Guys and Dolls takes the audience on a whirlwind adventure from Broadway to Havana, following a couple of big city gamblers and the women who love them. The production was nominated for 12 WhatsOnStage Awards last month and won Best Musical at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards in November 2023.
