New West End cast for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child announced

New casting has been announced for the fourth West End cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which continues to run at the Palace Theatre in London.

Michelle Gayle will join the cast on 22nd May 2019 as Hermione Granger, alongside Rayxia Oho as daughter Rose and Dominic Short as Albus. Jamie Ballard (Harry Potter), Susie Trayling (Ginny Potter), Thomas Aldridge (Ron Weasley), James Howard (Draco Malfoy) and Jonathan Case (Scorpius Malfoy) all continue their roles.

The full cast of the London production includes members Lola Adaja, David Annen, Valerie Antwi, Emma Bown, Adrian Christopher, Craig Connolly, Robert Curtis, Tim Dewberry, Rachelle Diedericks, Blythe Duff, Antony Eden, Jim Fish, Thomas Gilbey, Elliot Grihault, Rosie Hilal, Joseph Horsford, Mia Hudson, William Lawlor, Susan Lawson-Reynolds, Ronnie Lee, Ryan J Mackay, Lucy Mangan, David Mara, Barry McCarthy, Marcus McKinlay, Kathryn Meisle, Gordon Millar, Duncan Shelton, Molly Shenker, Luke Sumner,  Mark Theodore,  Emma-May Uden, Madeleine Walker and Maddy Yates.

The eighth story in the Harry Potter series premiered in London in July 2016, and now has productions running on Broadway and in Melbourne, with productions set to open in San Francisco and Hamburg, Germany. Directed by John Tiffany, the play has a book by Jack Thorne and is based on a story by Thorne and JK Rowling.

The original West End cast, which features Jamie Parker, Noma Dumezweni and Anthony Boyle, have just completed their year-long runs in the Broadway transfer of the play this weekend (17th March).

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is running at the Palace Theatre.
