Nicholas De Jongh to quit as Evening Standard Theatre critic

It is reported that Nicholas De Jongh is to quit as the Evening Standard Theatre critic to focus on his writing.

He has been the chief theatre critic of London's Evening Standard since 1991.

De Jongh's first full length play, Plague Over England is currently running at the Duchess Theatre and he is expected to turn it into a screenplay.

A date has not been confirmed for his final review, neither has a successor at the Evening Standard been named yet.
