Only Our Own closes early at Arts Theatre

Only Our Own by Ann Henning Jocelyn, has closed early - believed to be on Sat 18 Jan 2014. The play, directed by Lars Harald Gathe, which opened at the Arts Theatre on 10 Jan 2014, following previews from 8 Jan, was taking bookings to 1 Feb 2014.

Cast included Elaine Montgomerie, Alex Gilbert, Maev Alexander, Cornelius Garrett. Produced by CtCo Theatre Productions and Heritage Productions UK.

Follows three generations of a dispossessed Anglo-Irish family: their struggle to survive - socially, culturally and psychologically - into our days, while an emerging new class takes over as custodians of their heritage. Reflecting an imposed social system that turned everyone into a victim, the play also explores the dilemma of living with or without a traumatic past, and, ultimately, the need to develop and adjust to a world changing around you.
