Sunday's Child Theatre Company will present Overshadowed by Eva O'Connor at the Theatre503, a pub theatre in Battersea, south London from 11 to 17 January 2016.

Described as a "moving and insightful piece", the company aims to provoke compassion and debate around the subject of eating disorders and is the culmination of writer and performer Eva O'Connor's long-seated ambition to create work around the subject.

"Imogene used to be sparkly vivacious, and outgoing. She used to fancy lads, have curves and love chips. Recently however she has become withdrawn, gaunt, obsessed with exercise. The reason? Caol, her new "best friend", who's cast a dark shadow over Imogene's life. Invisible to everyone except Imogene, Caol will not rest until Imogene has been reduced both emotionally and physically to a shadow of her former self."

The production is directed by Hildegard Ryan with set and costume design by Deirdre Dwyer, lighting design by Tara Doolan, music by Daniel Cummins, movement direction by Roisin Laffan.

The cast features Roseanne Lynch, Eva O'Connor, Maeve O'Sullivan, Sinéad Clancy and Adam Devereux.

Tickets for the production are now on sale.
