Stephen Clark's play is about a dinner party hosted by Michael (Clary) and his younger guest Tim (Nelson-Joyce). Clark is known for his plays Martin Guerre, Zorro, Love Story and Stripped, the latter of which won him a Stephen Jefferson Award before he died last October at the age of 55.
Le Grand Mort runs at Trafalgar Studios until 28th October.
Julian Clary starred in last year's London Palladium pantomime Cinderella, and will appear once again in Dick Whittington this Christmas. Nelson-Joyce is known for his roles in Shameless and Mount Pleasant.
The play will be directed by Christopher Renshaw with designs by Justin Nardella, lighting by Jamie Platt and sound by Edward Lewis. It is produced by Danielle Tarento.
