Pure Imagination: the songs of Leslie Bricusse

A new musical revue titled Pure Imagination, featuring the songs of Leslie Bricusse will run at the St James Theatre, a fringe venue in Victoria, from 24 September to 17 October 2015 with an official opening on 29 September 2015.

Produced by Danielle Tarento, the show will be directed by Tony Award nominee Christopher Renshaw and will feature musical direction by Michael England, with a full cast and creative team to be announced.

Pure Imagination celebrates the songs of one of the most prolific and well loved film and musical theatre songwriters of our time, Leslie Bricusse. His credits for stage and screen include collaborations with partners such as Anthony Newley, Henry Mancini, John Williams and John Barry. He has won two Academy Awards and a Grammy Award and has composed over 1,000 songs and written the book, music and/or lyrics for more than 40 musical films and plays over an extensive 60-year career.

This musical revue will include favourites from his songbook including the classics "What Kind Of Fool Am I?", "If I Ruled The World", "Talk To The Animals", "Feeling Good", "Goldfinger" and many more.
